...obviously this guy wasnīt paying attention in class...

"Big surprise! We expected nothing different from Judge Vaughn Walker, after the biased way he conducted this trial," Brian Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage, said last week. "With a stroke of his pen, Judge Walker has overruled the votes and values of 7 million Californians who voted for marriage as one man and one woman."

..thatīs what the courts are SUPPOSED TO DO.....they are supposed to rule on the constitutionality of every law passed....thatīs because we are a nation of LAWS...not popularity contests. This is what the Christian Right is teaching in its madrassahs and venting in public; that the "will of the people" by a simple majority is all that is needed to implement laws...it has NEVER been like that. But this is what they would like to see happen so that they can rule the rest of us with their legions of ill-educated bible-spouting forces now incubating in garages and store-fronts all across the land.
