...and then, of course, he gave the example of flying airplanes into buildings and suicide bombings. He didn't mention killing six million people for their religion alone or any one of the thousands of crimes Christianity is guilty of.

The two examples he used are examples, not of religious teaching, since they appear nowhere in the Quran, but of political acts of people desperately outnumbered and outgunned who are being attacked and occupied by far stronger nations and have very little to fight back with.

If dropping atomic bombs on sleeping women and children, people who had no voice or choice in the war their military entered into, are not evil acts but acts made necessary by the nature of warfare (as we claim) then bringing down buildings and using suicide bombings can hardly be called by that name.

These acts are not part of a religion, they are time-honored acts of war, Mr. Dawkins.
