...we seem to have gotten off on religion-bashing and away from the original issue.

..no one here has any problems with whatever religion people wish to profess...whatever they choose, Islam or Christianity, Judaism, Paganism or Voodoo. It's a matter of personal choice and should be respected as such.

...what began it all for me, at least, was the number of times I heard lies and slander expressed against Islam. The kinds of things being said about Muslims reminded me uncomfortably about what was so recently said of Jews..the same sorts of propaganda, the same hate-filled images of the "dangers" posed by Jews to "our way of life"...the need to "act NOW" before Judaism spread and "conquered" the world. This, to me, was cause for alarm. I don't like Holocausts because everyone gets hurt by them...all become victims in the end.

...I began to wonder also, after a brief review of the wars of the modern era, why it was that so many of the most destructive wars were begun by Christians, usually against other Christians...but everyone else as well. Millions and millions of Christians have been slaughtered by other Christians...and yet Judaism and Islam were constantly referenced as "grave dangers" to world peace and prosperity and Christians cast themselves in the flattering light of "just defending ourselves".

...So, for many similar reasons, I decided to take a harder look at Christian teaching to see if there was anything there which could help explain the violence. The first I learned was that is has been Christianity that has killed people just for their religion as well as forcibly converting them on pain of death...also that Christianity teaches children to eat human fleah and drink human blood, half of them meaning the actual thing while the other behalf believe it's "symboliic"...which to my mind makes it worse in some ways...I mean what kind of symbollism is it to equate human sacrifice with love?

Fortunately we attracted Minime and Jumblat at about the same time, though they've been by before...but this time they were determined to engage...so I thought we would discuss the issue raised. But what we've seen instead, aside from the cursing and virgins, are more and more lies against Islam...with the claim that we too are "slandering" Christianity.

That has been the most interesting of all. We've quoted historical texts, not biased propaganda...we've taken quotes from Jesus himself as well as Church officials, we've stated nothing but facts, taken from reputable sources and have received in return, by way of "response" more outrageous lies, a total lack of evidence and the accusation that we "hate" Christians when we've stated that we hate what Christians DO...

Even now Jumblat avoids engaging on the issues raised but keeps dragging in propaganda about Islam or Muhammad, again with no sources or facts...even while we present evidence and reason mixed with logic...we get monkeys and virgin and sitting while pissing...but no substance, nothing relating to the original issues raised...and now Minime, having thrown caution to the wind has even taken to using my name when he posts...as a form or hero-worship that can be easily understood when you realize how much self-loathing afflicts this typical born-again slut.

I could easily ban or delete him...but why? Why lose such a valuable asset?

We are critical of Christianity for what it has DONE and is doing in Iraq and Afghhanistan right now...if Christians kept their violence within their own borders who would care? Let them kill each other all they want to...but Islam has caused none of this. Regardless of what I might think of Islam as a religion, I would never bash it because Islam isn't causing wars around the world...Islam posed no threat at all to world peace...it's those same Christians who re doing that...and we just wanted to understand why...and instead of showing us wrong and arguing the merits of the case...Minime has taken over my name and Jumblat is staying up nights to concoct even more slanders...can it be that they don;t know how to explain themselves? Or that they aren't Christians in any sense of the word, just "nationalists" using Christ and Ashur for political gain...at long-distance?

Whatever the motives, they can be seen to be dodging and dancing around the issues in favor of muddying the waters...even to trying to confuse readers by using my name on his inane posts...but what could be better for us?
