when Harris and Hitchens argue that Islam is the greatest threat to world peace they need to be reminded that Islam and Muhammad and Muslims existed for over a thousand years and no one, outside their own countries, ever had a problem with them....just like the case of the Ottomans who suddenly turned against their Christian population, you have to ask why? What happened to so drastically change, overnight, what had been a tradition of toleration for centuries?

The answer in both cases, interestingly enough, is the same :Christians. That's what happened. In the case of the Ottomans it was a war against them by Christian nations...and in the case of Arab/Muslims it has been attacks and occupation and death by starvation of their children by Christians...

...let's agree that most Christian Americans are decent people who try to do the right and moral thing, but when they are attacked by Japan, they go to war and wind up dropping atom bombs on women and children, who had no part in starting a war. We didn't declare war on Japan because of Jesus, although we certainly invoked his name and said we were doing God's work, and prayed to God and believed we got special treatment if we died in such a holy war...but Jesus had nothing to do with WHY we declared war, or why we sent, admitted at the time, a "suicide mission" to bomb Tokyo....it wasn't the bible which made us do these things but a war declared against us.....as ANYONE, who could, would do.

Islam has been around for over 1000 years...so why now? Why now in the last few decades have Muslims all of a sudden engaged in behavior they NEVER did before......could it be Christians, again?

As a 'scientist" Harris shrugs this off with a toss of his head and the statement that "well, yes they did"...without showing one shred of evidence that "they did"...it's easy enough to consult the thousands of history books written by famous scholars and historians to see when and where Muslims did these things, IF they did these things...but he hasn't bothered to do that...just as Beth-Shlimon could never bring himself to read a real history book...he just held these "beliefs"...on FAITH..and that's what Harris does...it is his BELIEF that Islam was "always doing these things"....but there is no evidence for it...it seems Harris only touts evidence where religion is concerned...he presents none where his own personal beliefs against Islam are concerned.

A scientist, or just a reasonable person, would look for any cause which resulted in drastically altered and uncharacteristic behavior. If you've never hated your neighbor and always got along famously, what would cause you one day to throw rocks at his house? Surely it needs some explanation for such drastic change...you can't say it's because his great-grandfather fought against the North in the Civil War because that had ALWAYS been known and known to be true all the while you had been good neighbors.. so "what caused the sudden change" would occur to every inquiring mind...but not to a fanatic like Harris, or Hitchens,,,,and sad to say, Dawkins as well.

They are satisfied in their OPINIONS where Islam is concerned...screw the facts.

If Jews could have, they would have unleashed holy war against Euro Christians for what had been done to them...but they couldn't, so they swallowed hard and got used to eating Christian shit, at least it was better than the ovens. But oh how they would have LOVED a good dose of revenge....Muslims are in a position to get a little of their own back, though they have been very mild about it so far...even though we keep goading them to do more.

Muslims are enraged not because Muhammad told them to be that way, but because they have been attacked and invaded and murdered by Christians...it really is that simple, and true.
