...the charges the DA outlined today make it pretty clear that there is no basis at all for a stand your ground defense...Zimmerman was the aggressor, she even used the word "profiled"...Zimmerman may not have used racial slurs but he staill said "they"..."they always get away with this"...doesnīt really matter who the "they" is...it shows his state of mind, he chose Martin just because he was a "they", not for anything Martin DID, but just because he was part of a group Zimmerman didnīt like or trust....HE went after martin, Martin tried to get away from him...HE got out of his car and chased Martin on foot, even after the police told him not to....it matters not at all that a "fight ensued"...why WOULDNīT it ensue? Who is going to endure being chased by a man on a dark night? Martin was trying to get home but couldnīt shake Zimmerman...obviously Zimmerman stopped Martin..why would Martin want a confrontation is he was already heading for home...how could he know if Zimmerman was armed? So whatif Zimmerman got abloody nose and was knocked down...so what? He brought it on himself...but the fact that Zimmerman "profiled" Martin...and then pursued him means he was the aggressor.....Martin was the one defending himself. Hell I could follow a guy all night till he got "aggressive" and then shoot him dead claiming "he hit me"......not even in Florida..... --------------------- |
