That’s the most intriguing part of the Kennedy assassination theories. Killing a head of State obviously has motives behind it. It’s not like the “perfect murder” where the killer selects someone at random and cops have a hard time connecting killer and victim. The killer of Kennedy knew what he was doing...had a reason...a motive.

Presenting Oswald as a dedicated Marxist and pro-Castro drifter is just too pat and simple. You can almost hear the leaders of the assassination team saying...”we’ll get a guy, claim he was a communist and friend of Castro and that’s why he killed Kennedy...because Kennedy is against communism and didn’t support the Bay of Pigs invasion.”

The added benefit to having a supposed communist pro-Castro killer is that it hopefully causes animosity against Cuba to soar...”they killed our President”. And just maybe the CIA could go back to its secret plans and attacks against Cuba...

After the Bay of Pigs invasion fiasco Kennedy turned sour against the CIA and its advice. They had assured him that thousands of Cubans, sick of communism and dying for democracy, would storm the beaches to join the invading force and quickly overthrow Castro...whether the CIA believed that or not, it was the mainstay of operations....the “hope” they fanned in Kennedy’s breast...also the way they kept their jobs and games going.

That was in 1961. Then came the Missile Crisis of 1962 and again the CIA was advising an attack against Cuba...just bomb them to hell. Kennedy refused to buy any of it and instead sought accommodation with the Soviets, an early form of “détente”...lets all live on this planet together etc....also promising to stop secret plans and training of CIA operatives to attack or harass Cuba...this only pissed the CIA off more. What’s a spook to do? To these Cold Warrior nuts Kennedy was selling out...he was soft....he was firing the most extreme "patriots" among them.

And Kennedy lived up to his promise...no more attacks or training aimed at Castro. Given all of that, why would Castro, or the Soviets, want Kennedy removed and Johnson put in his place? Johnson, who would go on to expand the war in Vietnam and fight commies etc? The last thing Castro would want is Kennedy removed.

But who WOULD want him taken out? Who stood to gain the most? Yup...rogue elements within the CIA in league with anti-Castro trainees who were also out of a job suddenly..and a chance to regain their confiscated property.

The planners were convinced that Americans would swallow the communist bait....they’d believe a godless communist/Marxist killed Kennedy out of hatred etc.

Nice.
