A fascinating man. In his essay “The Soul of Man under Socialism” he writes;

“As for begging, it is safer to beg than to take, but it is finer to take than to beg.”

There is little that is fine about modern Assyrians; due to their own diligent efforts to rationalize their begging and condemn those who take.
