Sargis Aghajan was asked by the Kurds what they shall call our nation in the Kurdish Constitution, as well as the autonomous region in the Nineveh Plains. Sargis Aghajan, could NOT go to an Assyrian political party that is legitimately in charge of our people, and legally representing the Assyrian nation. He was FORCED to ask the church leaders to agree to a name for our people, and get back to him with an answer.

How TRAGIC it is for a great and ancient people such as the Assyrians, to have been led by various church leaders, and NOT to have a secular and political parliament in charge of us, speaking with one voice, and having one goal. Each church has their own agenda, and is dragging our people through the gutter!!!

Shame on EVERY Assyrian who has not spoken up and demanded that our political parties meet and at the very LEAST form an INTERIM Assyrian parliament, democratically voted in through various constituencies, and authorized to represent the Assyrian nation!

We could have easily solved this problem through votes from all the Assyrian constituents throughout the world. But NO, we have to have 20 different competing political factions, and 100 different conferences, all to stroke their own egos, and not ONE of them to solve our problem once and for all.

History will NOT be kind to these political groups, who will be remembered as the dictators who could not sacrifice the ONE for the betterment of the Many!

Alaha pakhillokhon, tleeqeh !!!
