...no one "attacked" his site. No Turk killed Deniz. Any chance these people get they like to blame someone...it's sad to see this fellow preening himself in the praise of a British officer whose country made a mess of Iraq...as it still is. I've always felt we make good pets.

I have been informed by the web server that my website at www.assyrianlevies.com has been attacked, some of the pages have disappeared and others are corrupted, but not to worry it will be up and running again soon, I have saved the pages.

A little inspiration;

"Each evening RAB 50 [Lieutenant] Beijo Rahana, my Assyrian officer came to my tent for a talk and a drink and it was then that we planed the things for the day ahead. Luckily for us the British officers of the Levies, our Assyrians were fine linguists and nearly all of them spoke English. These Assyrians were direct descendants of those who ‘swept down like a wolf on the fold’ in Biblical times, and bore the old names like Nimrod, Sennacherib and Tiglath-Pileser, natural soldiers, having many of the Ghurkha soldiers characteristics, taking great pride in their marksmanship and mountaineering capabilities. We who commanded them grew to love them dearly and to this day I feel I never had the privilege of leading better men...Major-General John Dutton Frost CB DSO MC [ A bridge too far]"

"It was interesting to be in the aircraft with these brown-skinned descendants of the mighty Assyrian Empires which had faded into the limbo of antiquity hundreds of years before the birth of Christ. Apparently these selected specimens had lost none of their ancestors' courage, for they showed no hesitation at all in leaving the machine. Indeed I learned at a later date that throughout the entire training of the Company only one man had been killed as the result of an accident and there had never been an instance of a refusal to jump or a request to be taken off parachuting. The aircraft drill noticeably lacked the expert touch that can only be obtained with the instruction and supervision of the experienced airman, but of their keenness and general efficiency there was no doubt...Group Captain Maurice Newnham OBE DFC"

...you can see how it would go to our heads to have these superior white people tell us we were the direct descendants of Ashurbanipal. I seriously doubt any of them believed it themselves...just another way to stroke our balls.
