>That THAT is only their truth and their fact was never discussed before... And that you gave your "opinion" on the harmful effect you believe come from "their" beliefs and thier facts was never the case either... You arguement all along, until this post, was that it is "Christianity" that "teaches" cannibalism... (Check your posts)

...exactly...Christianity teaches millions and millions of Christians that Jesus DEMANDS they eat his flesh and drink his blood...YOU may disagree with them...but THEY TEACH IT. Assyrian Muslim and I have posted several times that we are NOT passing judgement on the TEACHINGS of Christianity...that we are NOT slandering Christianity ( as you all do in the case of Islam) because we are merely relating what are common CHRISTIAN TEACHINGS. If YOU find those teachings to be incorrect, or offensive, or misunderstood that is YOUR opinion...but we were NOT giving OUR opinion on the VALIDITY of the teachings but only REPORTING on what millions of Christians believe and teach...and there was nothing in what we said to argue with, since it's a well established FACT that millions of Christians BELIEVE THIS TO BE REAL FLESH they are eating.

>So which is it now? Christianity's teachings or THEIR BELIEF of what THEY think it teaches?

...you are still playing games. I never said anything about their teachings being wrong or right...not when the issue was the CONTENT of those teachings. If Jesus had said, "it is REAL wood"...I would agree with him in so far as believing that he MEANT real wood. I would NOT, as you do, argue with him and say he did NOT mean real wood, but plastic that LOOKS like wood...I would not presume to explain his words when they are so damn clear....real flesh means REAL FLESH. There is nothing in those words quoted in St John to give the slightest doubt. You come along and tell us he could not possibly have meant that....and that is YOUR opinion about his meaning...but millions and millions of Christians have NO DOUBT that he meant REAL flesh...if you doubt that, go and ask THEM....if you don't LIKE to believe it, then go and argue with THEM...not me.

...All I said, all along, is that THEY believe these things to be true. How you can seriously argue with such a simple statement of fact I don;t know. I am not asking anyone to pass judgement on the quality of those words, of the liklihood of their being acurate or on the mindset of those who believe them to be real and accurate...I merely point out that these beliefs are held by millions of Christians...and THEN I give my "opinion" on the harmful EFFECTS of those words on children, as I see it...but NEVER on the "rightness" or "truth" of THEIR understanding of those words. That's all I did from the very beginning...as far as THIS topic is concerned.

I agree with our Muslim friend that Jesus could not have meant them literally. or ever SAID THEM...but that they were put into his mouth by the very people who murdered him, all of them devout Pagans at one time who believed in Gods impregnating women and human sacrifice, Orphic cults where devotees tore a sacrificial human victim to shreds and devoured their "god", literally. But that isn't the POINT! The point is that millions of Christians believe in these teachings and have TAUGHT THEM TO THEIR CHILDREN...which made me wonder about the HARMFUL EFFECTS of such teachings but NEVER about the validity of the teachings...which is something that interests YOU, not me. Not the validity of the WORD but the HARMFUL EFFECTS of the WORD!

And my initial statement, which was a very simple one, is correct...that millions of Christians hold this belief and that ONLY Christians do so...in contrast to all other modern religions NONE of which teach cannibalism and vampirism....that was all I said, weeks ago...and it was a true statement. I did not say they were RIGHT to believe these things, only that they DID believe them and teach them...which is indeed UNIQUE among all modern religions. That is a well established fact no one can seriously argue with, and neither could you...you went balistic trying to get me to engage in a discussion about whether or not it was "right" believe such things...that was never my concern or interest...my interest was in assessing as best i could the HARMFUL EFFECTS of such teachings while you were only interested in discrediting the kinds of Christians who take Jesus at his word. I TAKE him at his word and I take millions of Christians at THEIR word....I am NOT interested in the VALIDITY of that WORD...only in the harmful effects of that word on CHILDREN!
