Besides, with all due respect, your statement here "the Church of the East was given this nickname by its enemies because they had followed Nestorius" is incorrect in the last part of it... The Church of the east and its teaching were in existance hundreds of years before Nestorius was even born...
Therefore, the Church of the east did NOT follow Nestorius... Nestorius accepted and believed in the Church of the east's interpretation of the bible, and not Rome's... He was exiled because Rome was (as always)against the church of the east, and therfore against Nestorius...
