...the best way to distinguish between the religious and the humanist is that the humanist knows this is all the world and life we have, right here right now..and though this planet may at times be a vale of tears and have awful things in it, still, he believes that life is worth living, to the full...let what comes after take care of itself...

The religious person on the other sees this as atemporary and wicked place that must be endured, a testing ground to se if you are worthy for that OTHER...the one that really counts and that no one has ever had any evidence even exists...besides their "faith"...as a result the religious almost welcome strife and suffering on earth because to them this place isnīt THE place..it doesnīt matter all that much...and you can see the result all around us where the religious have power.
