just what the cannibal said when someone suggested cooking cousin Aprim before eating him.

>>> The Britons if they gave us the name ASSYRIAN , it was done because we were Assyrians , why they didn't say that we are ' Turks, Kurds, Arabs , Armenians or Arabs.

...wrong. The name Assyrian was tacked on the Archbishop of Canterbury"s "Mission to the Assyrians" because the geographic location was known by that name...just as "Chaldean" was used to indicate that the newly built Catholic church was in the georaphical location known since biblical times as Chaldea...it was merely a designation of the place name...never an ethnic name.
>
>>> It was a fact that people over a hundred years ago were known by their religious affiliation and the NATIONALISM was not known yet, so they were all SURAYE / CHRISTIANS .
>
>>> You are DEAD wrong the Assyrians were proud of their ancient heritage as ASSYRIANS to a point they called ASSYRIA , a place of learning ' Athur Mab'ath youlpana ' and many Assyrians a case in point Malpana Gewarges of Erbil in his verses which exceeds l00 lines there are 5 lines how proudly mention the Assyrian and Assyrianism( I will post those lines following this message ) and this MALPANA/EDUCATOR who live by the A.D. 1225 that the British didn't sat a foot in the Middle East which refute your claim a hundred percent.

...many people knew of and used the name Assyria and Assyrians to designate the REGION...and many people decided they MUST be Assyrian because they were born in "Assyria"...but, as we've told you a hundred times; being born in the "land of the Pharaohs" doesn;t make you a descendant of Rameses....it's a PLACE name. You could have been born "in the land of the Aztecs"...all it would mean is that you were born in Mexico..it wouldn't make you a cousin of Moctezuma...everyone knew the NAMES Assyria and Chaldea...that means nothing at all.
>
>>> The Assyrians after being Christians , YES were influenced by Christianity and used more often the BIBLICAL NAMES as the MUSLIMS in Afghanistan, Iran , Turkey and Pakistan are using ARABIC NAMES , but that DOESN'T make them ARABS, the same with us, BUT , you are not aware because there are still hundreds of names that could be traced to our Assyrian people a case in point , Beto, Khammo, Nimo , Dammo , Tammo , Shamiram and others , keep in mind in order to be ASSYRIANS doesn't mean to have ASSYRIAN king list names .
>
>In conclusion, they called themselves ' SURAYEE , ASURAYE and today they call themselves Iraqi Assyrians .

...no no. That's just as inaccurate...they are Christian Assyrians while Iraqis are Muslim Assyrians...and all of them are Iraqis...and no Muslim Iraqi needs any lessons from a Christian Assyrian on how to be a "real" Assyrian.
