You know those are very interesting points you mentioned. I just invited someone to come on here on this forum and dialogue, you think he even gave it a thought? I can't see how anyone wouldn't want a free speech forum; a place where you can say anything you like and either come out good or make a total fool of one's self but the freedom is there. They'll rather go to places where they won't get "insulted" and where only they can insult others because of not being able to stand up to the other person's arguement.

In my most recent conversation with this Assyrian Christian, I had this individual accusing me of being a sell out and my "Assyrian pride" was going to "die" soon just as all the Assyrians who became Muslims in the past. I asked him where was this "Assyrian pride" in the lat 2,000 years? Why were they able to build monuments as Christians and walk all the way to India to preach Nestorianism but could not produce a single "Ashuraya" in 2,000 years. Isn't that strange? They say that they were persecuted by Muslims and that's the reason, but they fail to realize that they were able to go all the way to China while supposedly being "persecuted" by Muslims. How were they able to do so much for Nestorianism but weren't able to even even keep some things alive through oral trasitions. There is no excuse for this. There are Muslims around the world who have passed things down from the time of the Prophet(pbuh) all the way to this day. There are many who never looked at a boolet to learn the Islamic Salaat but learbed from geberation to generation, and that goes for those millions of Hafiz(memorizers of the Quran). Many of them learned by family tradition from father to son, and they mean to tell us that the proud ancient Assyrians weren't able to do the same thing when they were libirated during the rise of Islam and protected from the church of Rome and the Persians?

There is something not right here and they know it too. I am not worried about my personal "Assyrian Pride" but I am worried how there was no such "pride" even 150 years ago. That is what I am worried about and not my "pride" going to "die". They can build huge churches, social clubs, church monuments etc but couldn't produce a single "Ashur" or "Sargon" in 2,000 years. There is definetly something wrong here and they know it very clearly. This is perhaps the reason as to why they avoid real discussions, challenges, real scholars, historians and book authors, but rather stay on the forums where they can be praised and called "giants of Assyria" or as some call them "Champions". Where else could they get such catering except in a place where all are of the same mentality? It isn't hard to look like a Champion when everyone agrees with that Champion, but it is a whole differen't story when that "Champion" is really challenged and the "waste of time" answer is not far behind.

I am not anti Assyrian or working against "Assyrianism" if there even is such thing in reality but I am simply trying to get to the bottom to this and see where this pride was at in the last 2,000 years and why there were no "proud" Assyrians in so long but many proud Nestorians and Christians. It is very strange to come some 2,000 years later and suddenly there is this "Assyrian pride" and call for recognition and independance but all their Assyrian knowledge comes from foreign archeology or discoveries.
