Yeah, the Aramean language is not really another language but "Assyrian" "Syrian" meant "Assyrian" all along, and all their other lies and lame explainations or justifications to suit their agenda. To me one of the funniest claim of all is when they say "Syrian" is "Assyrian" and the two are one and the same. All "Syriac speakig Christians recognize themselves as "Suraye" but hardly none will agree with "Aturaye". If the two were one and the same, why start using the term "Aturaye" in early 1900s when "Suraye" already meant "Assyrians"? One would think it be wiser for these nationalists to use "Suraye" since they are always talking about "if only we could unite". They know that they are only bluffing themselves with that and that is exactly why they began using "Aturaye" less than a century ago. It was the English with an agenda who created these people and their "Assyrian Nationalism" and they recently began calling themselves "Assyrians" or Aturaye. Before that, they all belonged to different denominations and all were Syriac speaking Christians.

If they like unity so much, it be best for them to return to using the label accepted by both Chaldeans and Suryoye, but then it wouldn't be "Aprim's Assyrian Nation" anymore, not that there is one really now but they would be more screwed because their entire agenda is based on that all Syriac speaking Christians are to call themselves "Assyrians" and declare themselves as "Christian Assyrians", and direct descendants of the ancients. This is just a good old trick to hope to achieve a dirty agenda but it hasn't worked so far.
