religious people make me yawn and bore me to death. I always thought GG was Christian but just a sincere friend of Muslims but then there are reports that he is also a Muslim so I don't know for sure. I knew he always says "peace be upon him" when mentioning Muhammad and that's what Muslims say when mentioning prophets. Ive always liked him regardless and he knows how to step away and face reality. Plus if he is a Muslim, he at least won't get carried away nor believe he has this "special duty" to bring on Armageddon or some crap like that since such things don't really exist like that in Islam and they just live their lives doing good as much as they can and say "inshaallah" when asked about after life and all that. The ones who put me to sleep most are the Salafis, which are the most radical, yet suck at what they do. I had one Salafi tell me it was forbidden to wear jeans the way i was wearing them, and they have this habit of misquoting and misunderstanding what the prophet had said, so they believe it is a sin to wear your clothing too long because they see it as a sign of arrogance.

So they were their jeans all high looking stupid or they wear their Muslim garments close to their knees so it's not too low, yet they do this with arrogance. They talk about arrogance yet are so arrogant that only Christians can beat them in that category. Every time I went to their mosques for prayer, I could never leave without being lectured by them, yet when they came to our Sufi mosques, we treated them with respect and they still tried to lecture us on how we were wrong on things. Their problem is that they have no real scholars nor understanding of Islamic sciences. They are mostly self taught and arrogant about it. A young Hamza Yusuf knows more and is more credible than an old Salafi because Sufis trace their knowledge back all the way to the prophet himself. There was a documentary made by a bunch of atheist and non-Muslims historians from harvard etc and they were speaking of this undeniable fact. They even said it would be nice if Christians could trace one word back to the mouth John, Luke, etc. They can't do so because they don't even know who wrote their books. Every Sufi scholar has learned from another, another and another, and it is an unbroken chain all the way back to Muhammad himself.

There is also a one time Jew by the name of Abdullah Shaefer who is a convert to Islam, a Sufi and kinda reminds me of a GG because he hardly ever mentions it except. There is a journalist by the name of Michael Wolf, who works for CBS i believe who comes of Jewish origin and he is one like that where he doesn't bore me with religion. The subject of religion and anything pertaining to it bores me but it's hard to ignore it because it is all around you. Christian friends I have go to church whenever they do and my Muslim friends talk about their thing and go to mosque and you're kind of in the middle trying avoid both but at same time trying not to be rude to friends.
