Because these are white men, the media sympathize with them and finds every way to justify their actions. If they were black men with guns or native Americans making demands, it would be over already. It's just one more of many examples that racism has always been alive and well in this country. You don't see black men standing in streets with guns "exercising" their gun rights and one would expect it to be the other way around since white people are supposed to be civilized, peaceful while black men are supposed to be thugs, drug dealers and carry guns. If course gun rights arguments are full of shit and they know they don't want black and brown people armed in this country. There comes almost this natural feeling of entitlement with being white and arrogance and racism follows right along. One can see even young college graduateswho will say racism ended long ago and just "get over it". Such people wouldn't consider themselves racist but that's exactly what they are if they know it or not. There is always a justification and ordinary white people rush to defend their criminals but it's not the same when a person of another race does something or a Muslim. When you complain and actions are taken, that's when they'll say we're using race card. We recently had a supervisor who was fired because of racism and all hell broke loose as the white employees were all defending her and upset and "race card" was the first thing that came out of their mouths. Well if you weren't racist, there wouldn't be no complaints. Only a fool will deny that there is racism in this country and it has actually been imported to Europe as radical right wings are on the rise now and refugee shelters will be attacked. --------------------- |
