...no one was looking for Bin Laden...if Bush or Obama had learned that Bin Laden had a life-threatening disease they would have rushed him to a hospital...as in Khalil Gibran's tale of the Devil's life being saved by a priest who is made to realize that with the Devil dead and gone the priest will be out of work.

...it was better for warmongering businessmen that Bin Laden stay alive and healthy and sending tapes....the United States has been feeding North Korea for 20 years for the same reason: enemies are a valuable asset, no enemies no "foreign aid".

...Bin Laden was being "saved" to boost Obama's defense resume.....when the time was right. This was Bush's dilemma: he would have liked the credit for killing Osama, but he had to weigh that against the billions and billions yet to be earned so long as Osama was alive and a "threat".....

...This is the equivalent of Bush daddy's "October Surprise" when the American hostages were released just in time to get Reagan elected.....timing is everything.
