* The town is Kobane and the region is Rojava. I always get the two wrong. And I didn't mean to sound like some old socialist talking about bricks and bullets, but these people, among them Assyrians and Arabs, are the ones or connected to the ones who saved the Yazidi from the claws of ISIS on Mount Sinjar... it wasn't Peshmerga, it was PYD and PKK. PKK is on the list of terror here and in Europe. But you know what? MEK or MKO, basically the Shia-Marxist Mojahedeen-e-Khalq Organization of Iran was on that same list. Their members where the ones who on November 4, 1979, jumped over the fence of the U.S. embassy in Tehran and took the embassy people hostage. Now they have an office in Washington D.C. Why? Because they managed to pay people like the Republican Rudy Guiliani and Democrat Howard Dean, among other notable folks like the Michael Hayden (ex-NSA director), and gang of others who god paid to advocate the de-listing of this group. So PKK is on the list? So what? --------------------- |
