At outset, here I see a person that I could debate with, and hereunder I will try in a very brief way:

1) The motives of hate crime could be arranged in many way, could be religion, race or other personal things. And n what that lady did - no matter - what is not inspired by Christianity period, for a simple reason that you can't find any encouragement from Christianity to hate others, but to love them and even to forgive them in case bothering you.

2) You mentioned how Christianity reacted during the crusaders to Islam. Yes, but you should note their action even though they abused and it was not based on the Christian values, but it was merely as a response to the Muslims who were bothering the Christian pilgrims who were visiting the Christian shrines in Palestine.
In the same token did for some Christians of Abyssinia which prompted the retaliation - read MARCO POLO, Penguin Classics 1979 , pages 303-305

3) What I am trying to make clear, that Islam is a religious of deceivers and if you try to know the real Islam, you better read it in Arabic, the English version many of them are distorted and doesn't give the right idea. But something is clear that all these RADICALS Muslims are basing their campaign on the Islamic teaching which is to use force.

NOTE: If you read Arabic, I will furnish with many Qur'anic verses that encourage Muslim to wage wars and don't treat the None Muslims very well.
