If any of these people are serious, sincere and have a love for justice, they will be sad and outraged whenever injustice occurs and regardless of religion. Murder, rape, persecution, etc is a tragedy and a crime regardless of whom the victims are and who the aggressor is. That is not the case with these bigots but it is only a crime and a tragedy if Muslims are the "bad guys". Christians have brought us world wars, genocides, used dirty weaopons, are the number one weapon dsitributors, and much more yet their religion is not a factor. When asked why, they answer because they are "bad xtians" or "secular". Europe only became "secular" very recently and it was ruled by the church for many centuries. During those centuries, Europe was in the darka ages and xtians were just as bloody if not worse. In other words, the popes and the millions of xtians were all "bad" or not "true xtians"?

Is Bush also a "false xtian" are the xtians in congress who vote for sanctions, wars, etc all "false"? As for the secular argument, this is a silly one as well. Regardless if they are sceular or not, their xtian religion does not stop them from doing their acts. In such case, we could still blame xtianity for producing so many "bad xtians" while only few "good xtians". I am not a fan of blaming a religion for teh actions of a people because people are not perfect and can be good or bad, ignorant or knowledged. In the case of Islam, any crime carried out by any "Muslim" is automatically an "Islamic" crime and when asked why, the answer is that "Islam is evil and violent". If we go by such logic and form such conclusion, we would be in a world of trouble and unfair too.

Islam is not violent nor evil but it offers justice, and the right to live free of oppression and injustice. It gives us the right to stand up and defend ourselves if such becomes the only resort. Even in case of war or self defense, there are strict guidelines and conditions to follow which Muslims hsitorically did a good job following. We can not kill civilian, children, detroy livestock, buildings, churches, synagugues, etc. We can not kill those who surrender and others who are not involved. We can not even transgress if we are engaged in wars or battles. The claim that Islam calls for murdering anyone that is not Muslim is a myth and clearly flase. The prophet Muhammad(pbuh) said in one tradition that "whoever persecutes or slays a dhimmi, I will be his prosecutor on the day of judgement" and in another tradition he said "whoever slays a dhimmi, will not smell afragrance of paradise" and in another he said "whoever persecutes a dhimmi, has persecuted me".

It is clear that such thigns are not allowed and the Quran is filled with such verses as freedom to choose faith or refuse, using our raeson, logic, and that murdering is absolutely haraam(forbidden). There is nothing evil about Islam but there are bad and evil people who happen to be "Muslim" by label. I don't think there is any religion which promotes murdering others, evil, etc. Self defense is not evil and as the sayinmg goes "no justice, no peace" and that is true. Xtianity speaks of peace but offers no justice. Islam not only speaks of peace but it offers tools with which peace can be achieved.

In the case of reform, sharia, and capital punishments in Islam, there are few things that I should clarify firts. There is currently no Islamic state nor is sharia the supreme law in any Muslim country today. I don't mean the Taliban by sharia nor the crap that cnn tells us or hollywood tells sharia is. "Sharia" is an Arabic word and it translates as "path" "road" or "way". In short, it is a way or laws which Muslims live by. Everey Muslim is required to live by this no matter what. Even though there is no sharia based state currently, a Muslim still establishes sharia in his/her individual life.

For example, sharia, prohibits drinking alcohol, adultery, fornication, staeling, etc, and a Muslim must abide by that no matter what. We hear a lot of junk by xtian networks about sharia and how evil it is and a Muslim or any knowledged person can only laugh at such because it is far from the truth. establishing sharia does not mean dark ages nor does it mean fear, oprression, fanatics, etc. Such things are not allowed in Islam and sharia is the opposite. The punishments according to sharia may sound harsh but they are not if put in proper context and only then can they be understood. Malaysia, a Muslim majority country is returning toward sharia while the non-Muslims and are still to be ruled by the secular constitution and or by the laws of their religions. There is nothing evil about this at all but it helps prevent criems that we see many lands suffer from.
