I believe that because all the Assyrians I know who never even lived in Iran always praise Shah and say he was so great. When I ask what was so great about him, They always say he had made Iran a paradise in the Middle East and they mean clubs, drinking, etc, by that but is this only good thing to boast about? I know and have heard many Iranians talk about the Shah and basically heard the same things that you said on here. So can a guy be praised for being so westernized and allowing certain things while at same time we should ignore the other side? They just like him for the above things I mentioned but they forget that he was oppressive also. He killed many and I know he even banned the Jumah(Friday congregational) prayers for Muslims in Iran which is something the west hasn't even done.
