...it was literally painful to watch Hitchens defend the Iraq war, American policy and military etc. Really, it hurt. Another lame point he made, one who hardly ever made a lame point that I have heard, was during his debate with Galloway when he asserted that although US National Guards were indeed not present in Louisiana to do their duty, as mandated, by helping with the aftermath of hurricane Katrina...but were in Iraq instead, that nonetheless they learned invaluable lessons there about how to do such things better in the FUTURE.

So, I'm the surgeon set to operate on Hitchens' little girl...she arrives at the Emergency Ward bleeding badly...but I'm not there because I left for another city the day before to study about how to stop bleeding in young girls brought to the Emergency Ward...and his daughter dies because I'm away from my job...BUT, I tell Hitchens as he buries his little girl, "Not to worry, I know what to do better the NEXT time".
