>I agree with you on that brother Pancho, but you know the problem lies with some Muslims. Nowhere does Islam teach people to tolerate oppression, injustice, etc but it clearly lays down the rules for every situation. The problem is that many Muslims have forgotten this about their faith. Islam doesen't teach that there is nothing we can do or change about our condition. The correct meaning is that God is aware of everything but that don't mean to just sit and accept injustice, corruption, perssecution and opprssion. Now, the definition of war in Islam is different from other people's wars but it does allow to fight against oppression and wrong doing, bu it lays down the line for combat. For example, if Muslims are forced to go to war or fight against their agressors, they can't go on killing anyone who gets in their hands, but it has to be those who are fighting you. We can't go kill someone else who happened to be from the same land as the aggressor.

...I remember reading that...about fighting...seems very sane to me. I'm not that familiar with any of these religions...I've just read that Islam is more fatalistic than the others...
>
>I know that is what usually people do, but in Islam that is wrong, but it is also wrong to be oppressed, and to oppress. The governments in Muslim countries are currently all corrupt and that has an effect on the people, but I gurantee if they had real Islamic governments like during the Islamic era, these things wouldn't happen. A perfect example of Islam was Salahadin Ayoubi, the Crusaders had been killing Muslims without mercy. They killed anything that got in their way even Jews and Christians, but it was different with the Muslims. After Salahadin defeated them and took over, he didn't go killing every one that got in his way, he only killed and fought the armies. That is exactly how Muslims are suppose to do it.

...true...The West, the United States in particular, has done what Uncle Sam did in South America...they back the most corrupt people they can find..the kind who want Cadillacs and palaces and who in time, sensing the resnetment of their people, resort to the harshest measures to stay in power...incidentally giving the West the excuse it needs to get rid of them when the time is right because they are SHOCKED to hear of their brutalities against their own people...brutalities they instigated, paid for and demanded as the price for keeping their favor, by maintaing "order". The brutalities committed against poor people round the world because they were "communists" is such a record of unbounded violence as one can't quite fathom.
>
>But just sitting there and saying oh just take it this is what Allah has ordianed is very wrong that is unIslamic. True things happen by his permission, but those are signs and wake up calls. The prophet Muhammad (saas) had warned against the day when Muslims would be so many that one could fillthe ocean, but they will be walked all over, disrespected because of their own actions. That is exactly what has happened to Muslims. They became corrupt, they started following the examples of the west, they became capitalists and fight eachother. Islam is unique because it gives guidance in all walks of life whether earthly and spiritually and one can not be corrupt or oppressed if Islam is truly practiced. The success of the Islamic era was due to the fact that they were following the Quran and Sunnah, and lived by the sharia which liberates ppl. Sharia doesent mean no education, no propserity, no life, but it's quiet the opposite, it grants your God given freedom, but there are corrupt ppl outhere who try to paint a different picture, and some bad Muslims like don't like it because it won't suit their desires.
>
>For example, under sharia law, the poorer or less fortunate don't work like slaves in order to make the rich richer, but it is the opposite. the wealthier one is, the more zakat( purification charity) does one have to give toward to less fortunate. That is a perfect way of helping the economy. Of course the greedy corrupt people won't like that, so they try to make it look like Sharia laws means no air conditioning no electricity, they got that mixed up with the quakers of Pensylvania who don't believe in progress. That is not so in Islam, even non Muslims have their rights under sharia laws. They pretty much independent with their own laws, courts, leaders, etc, the only thing they obligated to do is for the woeking men of military ages to pay a skmall percentage of their savings once every lunar year. That money goes toward building places of worship, schools and that gurantees their rights, freedom, and protection during the time of war.

...tue. It was only the Muslims of the Ottoman Emnpire who allowed and protected Jews and Christians within their lands...even in Spain the Muslims allowed Jews and Christians freeedom of worship...the Christian nations simply killed or drove out all Jews and Muslims and declared "unity"...but they couldn't even show tolerance to their own Christians if they veered one iota from approved and official Christianity...what the assyrians now want in Iraq is the Millet system they had under the Ottomans...that will never come again, no demoractic nation will give any minority "special rights"...hell, their battle is getting EQUAL rights...but in Muslimm countries they're not going to like that....at least because Muslim dococracies can't, by law, give them special rights....and they've never wanted to be seen as equal, and no more, to Muslims....obviously they feel they are much better.
>
>That is why many Jews and Christians came running to live under Muslims in Spain, and eastern Europe. They knew that they could propser and they sure did prosper all those centuries. There were also many who embraced Islam due to the great examples. So, the idea is wrong that they can't fight back or due anything about it. Islam does strongly encourage patience, and to follow the Quran, but when there is oppression, persecution, corruption or any other agrression, one has every right to fight back and defend ones self but it has to be done the correct way. Unfortunately, many Muslims are not doing Islam right now, but the good news is that more are waking up and re discovering their roots and going back to their teachings.
>
>That is exactly why the west and their media is so anti Muslim right now. They know very well that Muslims have not killed no where near as many ppl as the west has just in one decade alone, but they fear the Islamic ideaology and slander us all day. I don't even watch tv anymore because of all the biases. This something that Muhammad (saas) told Muslims that there will be a time when "the good will be portrayed as the evil and the evil will be portrayed as good" and the unaware and the ignorant people will be attacking the ones that are actually good. I can see that happening now. A person speaks out for justice is evil, yet the ones who kill and steak are called "peace makers"

...true. What you hear people saying about Islam and Muslims would never be tolerated against Judaism...the hate-filled and ignorant commentary is very like what the Christians spread about Judaism for the years it took them to work people up to a Holocaust...thhe same lies are now being spread against Islam, with exactly the same declaratrions that "those people are like that"...and the same Nazi and neo-Nazi views are filling the airwaves...the exact same, as were directed at Jews barely 70 years ago! I hope Islam learns to defend itself better and faster than the Jews did.

>Fidel Castro is viewed as evil, yet he offered thousands of doctors to help the hurricane katrina victims. The president of Iran oofered free oil to them, yet he is a terrorist. Hugo Chavez gave free oil to the poor ppl in harlem ny, yet he is called a dictator. Saddam Hussein was murdered for killing a 148 shiites in 1982, yet the 1,5 million Iraqis have dies in recent years and nobody says anything. The same people whom Saddam killed in 1982 are the ones that the U.S. is accusing of doing all the violence in Iraq.
>
>Isin't there a hipocracy and a contradiction here? and U.N. Can't say nothing about that. Muslims and all good human beings in general who have a love for justice should never depend on the U.N. or any of those pigs for protection. Those are all slaves and they want to make everyone a slave. The few good brave men who are fighting these demons are heros and should never be criticized or called terrorists. I hope the Muslim umma will wake up soon and realize this and once again lead the battle against the crimminals.

...The UN started its career by stealing the land of the Palestinians to create an Israel,,,because THEY had tortured and murdered Jews to the point where they refused to return to Europe.

>Long live Catro, Chavez and all those who fight for justice.

...amen.
