...I suppose calling a German, whose religion happened to be Judaism, a Jew is the same sort of thing. Every Jewish German, or Frenchman or Pole was simply referred to as JEW....only by religion, never by nationality or citizenship...nothing new for Christians.

Think of calling WW I and WW II "Christian Wars"....in which 70 million people, mostly fellow Christians, were killed by Christians. Imagine. Or saying American prisons are filled with Christians.....nice.
