...the criticisms are spot balls on. Obama will "cleanse" Bush policy...he will redeem it and make it less toxic. But...

I think it would be almost impossible to guide America on any different path. Kennedy supposedly planned to but they shot him. Obama, in his heart of hearts, may be thinking that though he can't realistically oppose the American Empire, he may be able to make sone meaningful changes to at least some parts of domestic policy.

How likely is it that any politician can turn America away from the path it's been on since the start of the Cold War? We have two governments....one for public consumption which pays lip service to democracy and the real power...controlled by people who are convinced they know better...that we are dummies and they need to protect us from ourselves...and make a lot of money while at it.

Obama is probably a decent guy....but no "guy" is going to move America from this disastrous path.
