I wonder if you had come across these types in the 60s and 70s, especially in San Francisco, you know they ones who were Maoists pontificating about the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, until they realized that most workers are reactionaries, sexists and racists, so they went from being materialists to becoming mystics by seeking a guru. Then they realized that the guru was just a man, and like any man, had a sex drive and a need to be praised and paid. Now they see shrinks.

...yes, I remmember Hare Krishnas from the 70s...then there were the ones who tried to be Apaches or some such thing...the problem with all these people is that they were mostly raised in religious sects which encourage you to find your spirit outside yourself, in some god or priest or guru-leader..and that is a bad beginning...your spiritual life is inside YOU...and no one can guide you to it...that's the whole point. When you go deep inside, really deep, you find yourself outside yourself in the only real way possible because you come to your own core, which turns out to be the universal core...and that's as "spiritual" as I'm going to get....as to rule by workers. only someone who has never worked with workers would want THEM ruling.
