If I ever have a son, I am going to name him Sallahadin because I have nothing but love for this great man and warrior. I like Khalid Bin Walid as well. I remember reading the story of how when he took Syria from the Byzantines and told them they had three days to go as far as they could or fall to Islamic rule. This is not something the Christians offered but they rather killed everyone and forced people to get baptised. The Romans were much more tolerant to the Christians, yet when they lost power, the followers of the old religion were no longer tolerated. Temples were converted to churches, people were killed, tortured, forcefully converted and the priests of the old religion were jailed or punished. Many people were friendly to Christians when they arrived to their lands yet found themselves robed, killed and had their cultures destroyed.

Just compare how people such as the Seljuks, Tatars and some Mongols became Muslim while they were the invaders and conquerors, yet Christians could not gain hardly any converts with all their preachings and "jesus loves" stuff. It's hard not to notice that the Christian faith and the church went a totally different direction from what the historical Jesus and his real followers had in mind. I couldn't sleep at night being a Christian and knowing that the founder of my faith(Paul) never knew Jesus, was almost killed by the followers of Jesus and was never trusted from the start. The key to Christian success was the Jewish war in which the city was destroyed, the followers of Jesus were almost wiped out and never recovered hardly. This helped Christians because they were able to carry on their faith and help it survive and spread. Most of what is said regarding the true and earliest followers of Jesus comes from the church and they are prejudice toward them.
