...there are countless other books, written by Christians which will tell of the murders and forced conversions people sufferd at Christian hands and the mild treatment and salvation Islam brought....I told you once before; don't send me anywhere to read anything...if you have something valuable to add YOU bring it. I can't imagine a lawyer telling his opponent to go read a book that will prove HE is correct...I do my job...I read and bring to post what I find interesting...it seems all you're willing to do is read, and then send ME to read what YOU read....I say again that if you had any real facts you'd rush to post them here...at the least you'd post whatever relevant section you think you have.

...I do my job...you do yours.

...I thought you just said he wasn't Assyrian?

by now is dead, but actually he is still alive , alive in the minds and hearts of many that they are not even Assyrians.

>He quoted our beloved Sargon Paulos by saying , Everything will disappear , but the name .... this is what Sargon Paulos said in one of his verses... does he was thinking about his strange name from the language which he wrote and he was the one born in the worst humiliation:Bankruptcy of independent, Bankruptcy of a state and bankruptcy of a nation?
>In 1933 decided the Iraqi state to KILL the ASSYRIAN people and tried to disperse them while they are the people who BUILT IRAQ.

....this is a lie...I don't care who says it. Iraq WELCOMED our refugees fleeing from Iran and Turkey...Iraq allowed camps to be built for them...it fed and clotheed them...the Iraqi government even set about finding land and homes to settle them...when it was under NO obligation to do so...Iraq, a Muslim copuntry with an Arab king, could easily have said that as Christians we all should have gone to live among our fellow-Christians and were no concern of theirs.

...Then the Britiah came again and hired some of us out as their police force..using their guns, taking their money and wearing their uniforms, we were used against the very people who took us in....even to where riots led by Assyrian Levies killed innocent bystanders...to top it off the Patriarch, himself distrusted by many of our people, refused all offers of settlement within Iraq and urged his followers to take their guns and go to Syria, where he said a "country" waited for them...the damn fools took his advice, crossing the borders illegally and carrying weapons..something NO nation would tolerate, least of all one which was still in the throes of war since 1914 and occupied by foreign Christians...when these ungratefull traitors found only jail waiting them in Syria, they crossed back into Iraq and were met by the Iraqi Army which demanded they put down their weapons...shooting started and people were killed on both sides...the stragglers tried to make it back to their camps and villagers, a hundred of them shot down on the road...as any nation would have done..

The Iraqi press, disgusted and angered by the behavior of GUESTS within the country....most of whom were not native to Iraq but had been forced to run there for safety from their own countries...wrote articles demanding the government put down these armed bands of Christians going about at their own will...the Iraqi General Sidkhi, who hated the Christians (as did many Christians) was eager to make a show of force to break their resistance...he chose Semele where his soldiers gunned down 300 Christians...including three women and a child...naturally this number has been multiplied many times. It was a crime..of course...but one which every government on earth has committed...after every effort to satisfy the refugees...who'd been supposedly made promises by the British and NOT the Iraqis...sterner measures were taken...but Sidkhi, who wanted to go on to other villages, was stopped by the government...had there been an effort at "genocide", as you lovingly call it...there would have been no stopping them...and the entire village of Semele would have been wiped out before all the rest...in truth the Christians of Iraq were not the ones causing trouble...it was the Christian refugees who were the problem...and those refugees did NOT "build Assyria"....all they did was destroy the security and peace of those Iraqi Christians native to the land.
>
>In the year 1965 he applied for a job in the Iraqi News Agency , but was rejected because the government at the time didn't permit the Assyrians to hold jobs in the News Agency, Teaching and Military .

.....and for good reason. The Iraqi government was sick and tired of your hatred of Islam and sense of betrayal...by the BRITISH...for which you kept agitating for "your land back" from people who owed you nothing, nada, zip!...even your village churches, which were the centers of this kind of "education", were eventually destroyed...as they should have been much earlier..not because the government "hated" Christianity..but because you used those churches. hid behind your Jesus, to carry on sedition...churches in larger cities were not touched.
>
>This is the way Sargon Paulos lived in Iraq , he lived in his defeated nation to write his poems in the language of a victorious nation/ Arab.

...as you sit here now writing in English...the language of the very people who are destroying, well after they defeated, Iraq...so?
