...all well and good...but why are ANY of the wars with the West being put to religion? Did Japan attack the US because of their religion, or ours? Did we declare war against them because of our religion, or theirs?

The only truly religious wars of the last 500 years have been, wait for it, the wars of RELIGION in Europe....like the Thirty Years War which depopulated whole tracts of land and killed millions....Islam has had no wars of religion in the modern era...not even Iraq/Iran was a war over religion...it just so HAPPENS that twp opposing sides may be of different religions, but it's not the reason they go to war.

Right now, no war in the MidEast is over religion....these wars started because we ATTACKED them, and so they fought back...is anyone saying that if we had all been of the same religion, Iraqis would not have minded the killing by starvation of their children? It would have been ok with them if those killing their children prayed to the same god? really?

The only people to have specifically attacked and killed people JUST for their religion are Christians....Holocaust anyone?
