From what I've been able to discern thus far from browsing these websites, this DNA study is known as a Biogeographical Analysis. Which studies the ecosystem of a given organism (in this case humans) and their interaction in the environment within a geological time frame. It was performed by a Dr. Douglas J. McDonald. He's a reputable, well-respected faculty member at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. And has received degrees in Physical Chemistry and Chemical Physics.

The image file I linked to, was of one his BGA or Biogeographical Ancestry Plots. What it does, is it compares your raw data autosomal (genealogical) data from a website such as FamilyTreeDNA or 23andMe, and evaluates it by comparing it to the ancestral populations listed in it. The populations that Assyrians are closely genetically related to are as follows, Iraqi Mandaeans, Armenians, Iraqi Jews, Druze amongst others. However, this doesn't insinuate that Assyrians aren't related to anyone else, they are. As a matter of fact, everyone in that Near Eastern plot has shared ancestry.
