That is exactly the point our boys miss when this subject is raised. One is free to make any claims but it's a different subject when there are demands or one wants something. If I go to Canada on vacation and lose my documents there, the U.S. will not allow me pass the" border just because I say "I am an American". I would have to prove it to the customs agents. This goes for whites, and everyone. A white guy could claim to be American all he wants to but it won't get him back into the U.S. just on his word alone. Our boys claim to be direct descendants of the ancient Assyrians, and this is cool if they wish to say so, but they don't stop there. They go a step further by claiming they are indigenous and have all kinds of demands they expect every Arab, Kurd, and Muslim to acknowledge and accept. This is silly and they have no evidence for their claims. What makes them think they are more native to the land than a Muslim?

They will say Islam came from Arabia and that is true, but what about Christianity? It came from the Greco-Roman world and from Israel. If every Iraqi Muslim must be a foreigner because of his religion, the same must be true of Christians as well because this was an outside religion. What our boys fail to realise is that the entire Arab population did not migrate to Mesopotamia but only a small percentage while the rest of Muslims were local natives that converted to Islam and over time adopted the Arabic language and so became "Arabs" linguistically and culturally but that don't mean they are foreigners or outsiders. I have met many Iraqi Arabs, especially those from the Mosul area and from the Sunni triangle area who openly admit or say that their ancestors were "Ashuri" yet why do they call themselves "Arab" then? It's a simple answer. They ara Arab beacuse the language they speak, and the culture they carry but that don't mean they are ethnically different. Being Arab was never an ethnic or religious thing. That is why there are Arabs who are black, white, and everything in between. There are also Arabs that are Jewish, Christian, Sabean, Muslim, Atheist, etc.

Even if what I say is wrong and the modern Iraqi Muslims are descendants of the Arabs who migrated to Mesopotamia in the 7th century, they are not obliged to listen to Fred Aprim and turn over their lands. They are still indigenous because they have been there for centuries. Every argument that is raised by our boys is easily refutable because it contradicts itself and is built on thin ice. The forum I found myself banned from had all kinds of silly topics. There was one who even went as far claiming that Iraqi Armenians should be included as part of our "nation" and should be represented under the "Assyrian umbrella" for their own good. Would they insist this if the majority of Armenians were Muslims? Of course not and they know better. What is being done is a group of Christian Nazis are hiding behind a name and trying to make a quick buck or make a fortune from it.

They can't live as loyal citizens of Iraq and side by side with Muslims, therefore, they need their own land because they are Assyrian and Christian, but their "Assyrian" has nothing ancient about it except that it is fully foreign, Jewish, and western. If we were to count, how many different bandwagons have our boys jumped on in the last few centuries? They jumped on the Chaldean thing, they even admitted to being Jews, and now claim to be Assyrian. Their history shows nothing Assyrian about them yet they still got the nerves to make demands from a label that was recently thrown on them by western Christians only to laugh at them and use them. I also don't support the idea that the many Suryoye and some Chaldeans haver where they claim all of today's Assyrians are Aramean Nestorians or Chaldean. I don't believ everyone is fully descendent of one people but of many rather. We should be proud of Mesopotamia and the many different kingdoms, empires and people that emerged from there. Mesopotamia also was reborn when Baghdad was made by Muslims and it was the centre of learning and the capital of the empire.

Scholars came from all over to study in Iraq. Imam Bukhari, who was from modern Uzbekistan and is known as one of the greatest hadith scholars, came to Iraq at age 10 to learn. Many top Muslim legends, scholars, etc were either born in Iraq or migrated there at some point. Salahaddin, who is known for defeating the crusades and for his just behaviour, was from Iraq and from the same area as Saddam Hussein. Iraqis love their land and fight for it while our boys bend over for British, French, Russians and whoever else who had interests in the area.
