p.s. -- Once again I'm reminded of Elia Kazan's 1957 film, "A Face in the Crowd" whose anti-hero, "Lonesome" Rhodes becomes an overnight sensation simply due to "ratings"; just as in "Network", Howard Beale, who was getting the shaft, until he improvised by telling the masses to "Go to the window and shout as loud as you can: 'I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!'"
