That is exactly what I meant. If you read the entire chapter, you'll see that there is no parable or some other meaning to it. It is plain as it can get. He is denying to have brought peace on earth while Christians call him "prince pf peace". It's just funny that Christians take the verses which speak of "peace" as "literal" and the ones of which are embarrassing to them as "parables". Like the swords he asked his people to get; Christians mindlessly try to interpret that the swords were "spiritual" pr "symbolic" and then I remind them that one can not cut off ears with "symbolic" or "spiritual" swords. That is when the Christian is thrown off and left to create another interpretation. I have double checked the verse in Luke many times to make sure I am not taking it out of context or that there was another meaning behind it. Well in this case, there seems to be no other meaning but Pancho and I will never understand because we are not "born again" nor have the "holy ghost". This is the newest and latest run away excuse for the Christians and this one is more common among the Protestant denominations. This is their way of escaping from trouble.

Everything with Christians is this way. There is always something else with them. For example, the wine they drink in church is not really wine but is blood of Christ, the bread is not really bread but the flesh of Christ, 3 is not really but 1 and 1 is not really one but 3 in 1. Everything is this difficult with Christians. They intrepret the simple and the obvious in another way and the difficult and unclear in some other way.
