The "nice, like in the old days" is a bunch of shit! It's the same bullshit that was sold to my grandparents and their relatives through optimistic films like Frank Capra's, "It's A Wonderful Life!", who thought that once they set foot in America, "nice" Amreicans will run and help them, because they, like the Yankees, were Christians, too. All I got to do is ask my Black and Puerto Rican friends who's families have been slaving for "A Wonderful Life" since they were brought over and kicked in the ass, over and over, for generations.
