And if you noticed, from reading the description of this book, the authors have already accepted the modern Christians, who claim to be Assyrians, as the descendants of the ancients. They took their word on it and have somehow connected them to the ancients without investigation or perhaps they're ignoring it. How do they know these Christians who live in Sweden are directly connected to the ancients? Are they aware that these people weren't even making such claims 150 years ago or that they didn't even know about an Ashur Banipal or Gilgamesh? They were clueless when the discoveries were made by the Europeans and not one of them was able to translate for them. They had to bring in Germans and other experts in order to translate what those tablets contained. They didn't bring the village priests to do it because they couldn't speak Akkadian.

Again, they keep saying there is prove that Assyrians existed even after the fall, and who has denied that? The question is these modern Christians, all of them Christians, and they are claiming that they are indigenous and related directly to the ancient Assyrians. The only way they even accept a Muslim making such claims is if he hate Islam, claims his ancestors were forced and that's the only way. They won't accept a Muslim who doesn't mind being a Muslim and speaks Arabic as a direct descendants of the ancients. You have heroes who go as far as admitting that there are Assyrians today who are Muslims but they claim that those were forcefully converted to Islam. There isn't anything Assyrian about the Nestorians of today and nor was there anything 500 years ago. Hell, 500 years ago, this wasn't even an issue because they were merely Christians living in Mesopotamia. Not only is it absurd but then it gets even more absurd when they claim all of the other Christians(Chaldean Catholics and Syrian Orthodox and even Maronites) are all Assyrian by blood. There is a town in Syria where they speak an older form of Aramaic, the kind spoken by Jesus supposedly. It's not only the Christians who speak it but also the Muslims and half of the population is Muslim.

According to the heroes, only the Christians are Assyrians and the Muslims are simply Arabs who moved there and adopted the language. For the sake of argument, let us agree, but how does that make the Christians in that town Assyrian? Isn't there a stronger chance they are Arameans? There is so much that's never questioned and people who don't care just accept their claims and that's it. They wouldn't just accept silly claims without evidence when it comes to handing out cash or recognition. Even the government in the US is careful when it comes to Native Americans or else anyone with black hair could claim to be Cherokee. Then you have the likes of Simo Parpola who have their own agendas and decided to stroke the heroes a little so they can give him money but who is he?
