I agree, war is business, or as Butler calls it, a racket. I never believed the war was noble, especially when I learned how IBM, Ford, Wall Street and other US corporations were in cahoots with IG Farben and the Nazis. Also, the west (England, US) were supportive of Hitler and hoping to push him into a war with communist Russia, they didn't expect him to turn on them, especially England after they sent Chamberlain to appease Hilter regarding Sudetenland. And after the war, the Americans handpicked thousands of Nazi criminals and used them as scientists and soldier-spies. And your absolutely right about Japan, they bombed Pearl Harbor because of the sanctions pitted against them - and the Americans wanted an attack because they needed a 'Tonkin' to enter the war. The only noble war is a war of national liberation like that in Algeria, or a revolutionary war like that of Cuba or Nicaragua. --------------------- |
