I once watched a documentary on Assyrians, Armenians and Jews in Iran and one of them was a priest of the Assyrian church and he said Khomeini was very close to him. My uncle and others in my family fled to Iran before migration to the west and lived there peacefully in Tehran without problems. My other uncle ran away from the army and lived in Iran for two years also and never had problems. Even the biggest Muslim haters I have ever known don't make such claims. Unless by persecution they mean women having a dress code but other than that I'm not aware of any religious persecution against Christians, Jews or Zoroastrian. The Bahia, that's true and that's only because as you stated. If they were and older religion then they wouldn't have that problem. Also they're headquarters is in Tel Aviv, and that's reason to be suspicious. If American embassies are spy offices and Christian missionaries are agents of the cia and others, who knows about Bahia.
