...no again! Anygovernment, every government "controls "the machinery of state"....does the American government NOT control its "machinery of state"? What are you talking about? Good god you are coming apart at the seams in your desperation to pin SOMETHING on the Turks.

Yes...the Turks controlled THEIR machinery of government...but it makes all the difference in the world what they DID with...for hundreds of years they used their machinery of state to defend and protect religious minorities...and they used their machinery of state to create and maintain the millet system, which was never tried anywhere among Christians...but when citizesn REBEL in time of war especially...and especially if they take weapons, pay and direction and fight alongside those attacking their country...every nation and every country on earth reserves the right to use its MACHINERY OF STATE to puit down rebellions and fight treason.

Does it really need to be spelled out for you? It is not the Turkinh government who started this...and it makes all the difference in the world who started it....had the Turks turned on ALL their Christians, as the Germans trurned against all Jews...with no war and no acts of treason...if they had done the exact same things they did to pout down rebellion WITHOUT a rebellion having taken place, then we could damn them as much as you please...but that wasn´t the case...they moved against their Christians because of what those Christians DID. YUou Christians always, but always, excuse what you DO and try to turn any just retaliation against you into religious HATRED!

It was a rebellion, in time of war...Turkey had good reason to be afraid...the Armenians found among them those willing to take that opportunity to start an insurrection...the Turkish government was OBLIGATED, by all the laws that say a nation MUST protect its people and borders, the Turks were FORCED to put down the rebellion...and no one has the right o tell them AFTERR the fact that they should have been nicer about it...I mean REALLY!!!

You are damning the Turks foir what every other nation on earth has done, and gotten away with.
