...in debate. As much as I decry Harris, I have to give him credit for making more sense in his critique of religion than Aslan for his defense of it.

However, Harris says that no matter how you try to explain that Islam is not a religion of violence etc and etc, you still are stuck with explaining the existence of Osama Bin Ladin and, I presume, others like him who happen to be Muslim.

Let's be completely scientific, which Harris often isn't. Let's just go by body count.

United States (Christian); 700,000 starved-to-death Iraqi babies (never mind all the others)

Muslim "Jihadists": 3000 in the collapse of the Twin Towers plus a few odd here and there.

The response to Harris should be, "How do you account for GEORGE BUSH!, never mind Osama, who admitted that God told him to attack Iraq and, presumably, kill those babies.

3000 vs 700,000....you decide, "scientifically".

How does Harris get away with this...how do his debate partners allow him to? Any scientific, or just plain rational, person, comparing the history of religious violence on this planet would decide, easily, that Christians are the threat, not Muslims.
