...was a vest improvement in what went before, but not as satisfying as the Roman Law adopted and refined by America and later by other nations in Europe...and I doubt Arrow would want to be subjected to such a legal system.

Under the Code Napoleon, if you were charged by the State for a crime, it was your obligation to prove your innocence...the State prosecutor simply sat back and listened to you try to prove you WEREN'T in that building when it burned down....or didn't kill that person you argued with the day before.....if you had no alibi and witnesses, you were screwed.

American Law (till recently with ObamaLaw) made it the responsibility of the State to prove its case, not you to DISPROVE its case. In our system you can sit back and say not a word in your defense, which under the Napoleonic Code would immediately condemn you...the prosecutor has the obligation, in our system, to prove his charge...it is not your responsibility to prove him wrong...though that is best if you can...but if you say nothing, or nothing which proves you to be 100% not guilty, the burden is still on the one making the claim of guilt, on the State...you are under no requirement to defend against the charge, or even have a good defense....but if the prosecutor can't prove his case, then you win and he loses.

Same with this god-business. The existence of Gods wasn't first put forth by those who don't believe in Gods, so therefore you can't call on them to "prove there is no God". That's like me saying I believe pigs fly on Mars and challenge you to prove they don't,,,and when you can't (unless you appeal to Reason in people who BELIEVE in it)...then I can't say that your inability to prove me wrong, proves me right...which is exactly what Arrow is claiming.

No, no..it is god-people who first bring up God and insist he must exist because "I believe in him and so do billions of others...now you prove he DOESN'T exist"...it is THEY who must provide evidence for this belief, especially since almost all of them stood ready to kill people, and worse, for refusing to be swayed by this "argument".
