It is simply ABSURD to think that GOD, who is supposed to be loving, fair, even-handed, and just, would EVER, EVER send an illiterate, lying, cheating, scamming, ill-hearted, hateful, spiteful, mousy JEW to a great, educated, civilized, innovative, and GODLY people like the Ninevites to get them to REPENT!!! REPENT from what? What had they done?

If you want to talk about GENOCIDE and HOLOCAUST, then you had better consider the genocide and holocaust YOU, (who call yourselves ASSYRIAN) have brought upon yourself!!! You have killed EVERY SINGLE Assyrian out there by believing in such nonsense as what you have been taught and teaching the next Assyrian generation. The ROGATION of Nineveh? My foot!!

You people exist only to maintain ONE thing: Jewery. HOW can you even THINK you are Assyrian when the prayers YOU yourself pray to God are to bless and maintain the Jewish religion, the Jewish State, the house of David, the city of Jerusalem, and Jewish morality?

Your contradictions are killing you, and it is a slow and painful death!

Enjoy your own massacre
Rejoice in your own Genocide
Glorify your own holocaust

See if I care anymore!

Maybe you should have heeded Jonah and accepted the sabbath, afterall. Like it says below, Jonah was sent for ONE purpose only: To make Jews out of us. Well, guess what? We did become Jews! But we never accepted the sabbath!!! So if we didn't accept the sabbath, then this whole story is NONESENSE, because we couldn't have REPENTED if we weren't going to accept the sabbath, which was the main reason God supposedly had sent Jonah to Nineveh for.

THURSDAY FOLLOWING THE ROGATION OF THE NINEVITES,
Which is Known as the Thanksgiving

Anthem of the Chancel

Turn unto us and have mercy upon us.

O God who had pity upon the Ninevites, have pity upon us, and do not turn your countenance away from our evil generation. If you shut your door in the face of sinners, who will there be to go and knock at the door?

You are merciful, O Lord, and righteous.

O God who had pity upon the Ninevites, have pity . . . . . .

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; from everlasting, and for ever and ever. Amen.

Jonah called you from within the fish and you answered him, those of the company of Ananias in the furnace, and you delivered them. The whole creation calls upon you with groaning; have pity upon it and show mercy according to your custom.

The Lections

Isaiah 65:16-66:2

[Thus says the Lord:] . . . . . . "[H]e who blesses himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth, and he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten and are hid from my eyes.

"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. But be glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in my people; no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress. No more shall there be in it an infant that lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed. They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, or bear children for calamity; for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the Lord, and their children with them. Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, says the Lord."

Thus says the Lord: "Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool; what is the house which you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the Lord. But this is the man to whom I will look, he that is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word." _

Jeremiah 17:21-26

Thus says the Lord: "‘Take heed for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the sabbath or do any work, but keep the sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers. Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck, that they might not hear and receive instruction.

"'But if you listen to me, says the Lord, and bring in no burden by the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but keep the sabbath day holy and do no work on it, then there shall enter by the gates of this city kings who sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall be inhabited for ever. And people shall come from the cities of Judah and the places round about Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the Shephelah, from the hill country, and from the Negeb, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, cereal offerings and frankincense, and bringing thank offerings to the house of the Lord.’" _

The Shuraya

I have delighted in doing your will, O God;

Your law is within my belly. _

I have told of your righteousness in the great congregation;

I have not restrained my lips,

As you know, O Lord. _

I have not hid your righteousness within my heart,

But I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation;

I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation. _

Also you, O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me,

But let your mercies and your faithfulness ever preserve me! _

The Apostle

Romans 10:1-13

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but it is not enlightened. For, being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law, that every one who has faith may be justified.

Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on the law shall live by it. But the righteousness based on faith says, Do not say in your heart, "Who will ascend into heaven?" (that is, to bring Christ down) or "Who will descend into the abyss?" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? The word is near you, on your lips and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach); because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For man believes with his heart and so is justified, and he confesses with his lips and so is saved. The scripture says, "No one who believes in him will be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches upon all who call upon him. For, "every one who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." _

The Zumara

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my sins. (2)

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sins!

The Gospel

John 16:23-end

In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, he will give it to you in my name. Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

"I have said this to you in figures; the hour is coming when I shall no longer speak to you in figures but tell you plainly of the Father. In that day you will ask in my name; and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from the Father. I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father."

His disciples said, "Ah, now you are speaking plainly, not in any figure! Now we know that you know all things, and need none to question you; by this we believe that you came from God." Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe? The hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, every man to his home, and will leave me alone; yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." _

Anthem of the Mysteries

For you are a priest for ever.

O High Priest of our confession and our Absolver, O Christ who became for us a spotless and acceptable sacrifice, we ask of you the pardon of our debts when you set up your throne of judgment; for you were persuaded by the sufferings of our nature, in which you suffered and were tempted for our salvation.

He had pity upon his land and upon his people.

O High Priest of our confession and our Absolver, O Christ . . . . . .

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; from everlasting, and for ever and ever. Amen.

Come, let us in newness of spirit give thanks without doubting, all we who believe, for we see upon the holy Altar the Lamb of God who, lo, is mystically sacrificed every day, and though he lives for ever he is divided to each one, while not increasing or decreasing. Therefore, with fear and trembling let us all cry aloud, Holy, holy, you are holy, O Lord, for heaven and earth are filled with your praises.

Anthem of the Bema

O our Lord, receive the supplication of holy Church, which petitions you on behalf of your people, saved by your Cross, for lo, they fervently desire your deliverence. Make them worthy, O my Lord, of your Body and Blood, that they may be made habitations of your honor.

Let your Godhead be pleased with them, O my Lord, that they may praise you for your gift.

Verses:

Multiply all helps for our company, which worships your Godhead.

Let your Godhead be pleased with them, O my Lord, that they may praise you for your gift.

O Son of God, have pity upon your people, for lo, they beseech and ask for mercies.

Let your Godhead be pleased with them, O my Lord, that they may praise you for your gift.

Receive, O our Lord, the beseeching of us all, who with supplication approach you.

Let your Godhead be pleased with them, O my Lord, that they may praise you for your gift.
