...and this is how it was done. Again, I didn't get this from my grandmother but from Pulitzer Prize winning historian and philosopher Dr. Will Durant from his book "The Age of Faith". p.8.

"Constantine had discouraged, but not forbidden, pagan sacrifices and ceremonies; Constans forbade them ON PAIN OF DEATH (emphasis mine); Constantius ordered all pagan temples in the Empire closed, and all pagan rituals to cease. Those who disobeyed were to forfeit their property AND THEIR LIVES ( me again; and these penalties were extended to PROVINCIAL GOVERNORS (me) neglecting to enforce the decree."

In other words, an entire generation was forbidden the practice of its religion, on pain of death...and their children, the next generation, were indoctrinated into the Christian religion at birth....no wonder they "embraced" Christianity...since they had no choice and since their parents were murdered for refusing Jesus....what would you expect but "conversion"? Naturally the Church would lie about this once all witnesses were dead or murdered...turning it into a pleasant fantasy about pagans "leaping" into this guilt-ridden religion of their own free will at the mere mention of Jesus Christ.

It never happened.

Also note that this rule extended to the provinces and was not confined to just Rome or even Europe. At that time Mesopotamia was indeed a province of Rome so that provincial governors took the same harsh steps...meaning our ancestors were treated to both murder for their religion i.e. paganism, AND forced conversion to CHRISTIANITY...done BY Christians!

So, we see that from the very beginning...from the moment when Constantine decided to make Jesus a Roman, force was used...in fact the SAME force that Jumblat still hopes we'll believe the Muslims used. It wasn't Islam that did these things but Christianity...and it happened not just in Rome but in BetNahrain as well.
