Since the war on terror began, 6440 US soldiers have died. This is going back to the beginning of it all. 11,000 Americans are killed every year with guns. In 2005, the number was over 30,000 and on average it's 11,000 annually. As one can see, more Americans die at home from guns and at the hands of their own people than soldiers die in actual wars. If you combine the number for the last decade, that's over 150,000 people in America. That's more than twice as many that died in Vietnam war, which lasted over a decade. Perhaps it's time fix the problem at home than worry about other countries. The leaders and the troops are supposedly keeping us safe from people who live thousands of miles from us, and who can't in anyway harm us, yet we are harmed at home by our own. Silly CNN had a question today and it was: have we become a culture fascinated with violence? They wanted callers to express their more silly opinions, and the truth is this question is absurd, self-explanatory and very evident. Of course this is a culture and country obsessed with violence.

The number one video games in America are shooting games. The list is large and new ones are coming out every year. Violent movies are the most popular and American children can't wait to be taken outback by their fathers(if they even have one) and be taught to shoot guns. Whereas children in other countries are brought up different, have higher grades, have more knowledge and education, children and adult Americans are the opposite. You have music, movies, video games, etc and all this has an impact on the mind of people. There is a reason why America has the highest murder rate in the western world, has biggest prison population and most law enforcement agencies/police in the world. This is a police state, and guns are a big cash-cow, which will always be easy to obtain.

Criminal justice has become one of the best majors in college, but you will only have a job and success if there is crime. If crime goes down, then what? It would be a good thing, right? Actually, no, you likely be out of a job and have to pay all that money back which you still owe. Your education was a business, after all, and a privilege, not a right. America could be better and crime could be almost abolished but it is a business and a moneymaker for the profiteers so this won't change unless the system is changed and the root if it is demolished. Obama said recently the blockade against Cuba will not be removed, even though most of the world is against it, until Cubans are free. This is what he said, and this has been repeated by every president before him. However, are Americans so much better off? Let's establish some more facts, shall we? I think we should.

Here is a fact: a child in Havana is more likely to survive than one in Washington DC. An infant in Havana is more likely to survive than the one born in DC. A child in Cuba is more likely to obtain a college degree than the one in DC, and a Cuban child is more literate than a child in DC. What about murder? We just seen above how many Americans die every year from gunshots. It is a law in Cuba that everyone, male and female, learns how to operate a weapon, and Cubans are allowed to arm themselves. They still have a lower crime rate and murder rate than America. There are more Cubans in Florida prisons and jails than there are in Cuba. And I thought those in Florida escaped to America to be free.

It's enough with the bullshit and games. The US has its own problems at home, which is more worse than other countries and many countries don't even have such problem at all. Other countries have regulations and tougher laws. In many other countries, except maybe third-world countries with small government, free market capitalism and no regulations, you even have to go through a mental test to see if you should own a gun. There is no such requirement in the US and I learned that for the first time from an actual KKK member that I used to work with and who I was worried about. If actual psychological tests were required, most Americans wouldn't pass it because most of them aren't sane enough. Where would the gun makers be in such scenario? Probably living or welfare, or asking for more handouts since selling tacos is not good enough. Everyone from the courts, to police departments, governors, and anyone in between, they all benefit and profit from guns, crime and violence. America is the so called movie capital of the world, and America is a movie itself, and everyone wants to live like that. We are all celebrities, after all, and love violence. Shooting brown people and bad people, who wear towel looking things on their heads is what we are taught in school to be okay, but then many of them keep those teachings at heart and shoot their own at home. Not everyone can go over there to shoot the "bad guys" so why is it a surprise that eventually it will bite those teachers in their arse? That's to be expected and happens a lot, 11,000 yearly actually. That's a whole lot more than soldiers have died in two actual wars in a decade.
