...someone calling itself SOS has posted this on Magpie's...funny thing is SOS says it can't discuss this at Mesopotatoes...which is where the article appeared..and so had to drag it over to Magpie's...and I, who can't discuss it at Magpie's, have to drag it over here...and the CIA is AFRAID of us? We can't even TALK without scaring and then censoring OURSELVES!!!

Please, lets discuss this article and its implication related to the Assyrian of Nineveh Plain and their future.

...they have none if you keep calling them assyrians.

This is a national issue

..you are not a nation, just religious sects with attitude.

and we should be able to discuss it rationally and with no emotions. Lets put all our personal feelings about ADM, ACOE and Mar Bawai aside. We all are the children of the same nation.

..you are not...you are children. Children of Christianity divided into squabbling sects trying to cover your shame with the Assyrian name.

As you can see I have taken this from the Mesopotamian forum. You might have already read this in that forum; however, I have copy and paste it here so we can discuss it. I hope the Mesop forum wouldn’t mind.

Expelled Bishop protests against KDP Peshmerga *LINK*

Last month in Chicago, Illinois, an expelled Bishop (of the Assyrian Church of the East), formerly known as Mar Bawai Soro, along with over 1,000 demonstrators from the Illinois Chaldean community, launched strong verbal assaults at the KDP Peshmerga.
Soro claimed in his speech to the demonstrators that "the KDP Peshmerga have used brutal force to victimize and ethnically cleanse their areas in the Nineveh Plain."
Of course, having never visited nor seen the Nineveh Plain, it seems obvious that the Bishop's information is secondhand and is supplied to him via his favorite political party, the Assyrian Democratic Movement. His accusations leveled against the KDP Peshmerga are not only false, but they are a huge insult to the thousands of Assyrians currently enlisted in this most honorable and prestigious army.
What evidence does he have of ethnic cleansing? More important, what if Soro's callous words were to trigger revenge by the Peshmerga forces on the small Christian community? Of course they wouldn't, but that's exactly what the Bishop wanted. Assyrians living abroad must learn not to jeopardize the lives of the poor Assyrians stranded in this war zone whilst they enjoy the safety of America. The Christians here want to live in peace with their neighbors, and they must be left to their own devices; after all, they know best.
Instead of pitting Kurds against Assyrians, Soro should have thanked the Peshmerga forces for guarding the Christian villages around Mosul and indeed liberating Kurdistan from the Ba'ath regime.
It must be added that the Assyrian Church of the East immediately issued an official statement completely distancing themselves from the rogue Bishop. However, the Chaldean Church that actively participated in the demonstration has refused to condemn the attacks against the KDP Peshmerga. This self-defeating partnership will turn out to be just that. Their ungratefulness seems very strange, considering how much Massoud Barzani and Nechirvan Barzani have done for the Chaldean community. Obviously, they still prefer their very own: Michael Aflaq and Tariq Aziz.

...why are you surpised that ONE side acts irresponsibly..or makes bogus claims..or tells outright lies...it's what you ALL do. I guess one has to be outside your corral to see that you're all jackasses.
