Our boys are at it complaining when they are simply recognized as "Christians" and not by their "Assyrian" ethnicity but why they get mad? Isn't this all they are after all? They say themselves that all Assyrians are Christians and they should unite with Suryoye and Chaldeans because they are at least all Christians. I don't see a point to get mad when their church is everything and there is not a drop of ethnic descent to it. I guess they think they can fool those who know better with grabbing a name, and making a flag. It was only in 1976 that the COE even thought of changing its name by adding "Assyrian" to it but long before that time they were nothing but Christians who spoke the Aramaic language but this was also the language spoken by many others. There is even a small town in Syria where the older Aramaic is still spoken and half of the population in that town are Muslims and speak Aramaic fluently.

Are those Muslims also Assyrian? The nationalists say they are not because they are Muslim so it obviously one must be Christian to qualify. No matter how many tattoos these heroes put on their chest, no matter how much pride they display and no matter how loud they shout from roof tops that they are Assyrians, the world will still identify them as Christians and even the Iraqi Muslims always think of Christians when Assyrians are mentioned in modern times because that is all there is to it. They get pissed at Kurds for trying to Kurdify everyone in their land but they accept atheists, Yezidis, Christians and everyone else as Kurdish no matter what. Though I think nationalism is stupid, especially when it is really racism, but the Kurds care about that more than religion for the most part. There is no reason to get mad and no reason for Aprim to call Iraqi Christians traitors for accepting assistance from kurds or Iraqi government unless he is willing to help them financially and protect them.

He is such a hero and Assyrian "freedom fighter" then why is he in the west and not in his homeland liberating and fighting for his people? He isn't that stupid and he is only getting rich from this business and scam. I was reading this article written by some nationalist where he was saying that there are now more Assyrians in the west than in their homeland and I am asking what does he expect when they migrate away from home? They obviously can't live with Muslim neighbors so why stay? None of them would move back to mountains and villages when they have such wealth and property in California, Chicago, Arizona and wherever the hell else they live at.

Dadeesho would never leave California to live in Mosul or some village nearby so why he expect others to move back or stay there? These nationalists need those Christians back home so the they can get rich off of them. This is just a game and nothing less or more.
