...Have been binge-watching on the subject. I realized that to call these events the Armenian "Genocide" even when disputing it, sort of recognizes that there was or must have been a genocide "but, we can argue about it if you like"...no, there was no genocide period..what there was, was an Armenian Revolt.

..that there was an Armenian revolt when Armenian-Ottomans turned against their own country and government to fight on the side of the invading Christian Russians is provable fact, not fiction, not opinion. That Armenians took over the city of Van and held it till the Russians came and then proceeded to slaughter the Muslim population there and in other parts of eastern Anatolia is fact, not opinion.

..the videos I watched which called it a genocide provided no facts...just claims and opinions. Also, they rely on first=hand experience of Armenians who describe how they suffered from cold and hunger and disease and some massacres. What they never mention is how many Muslims died of hunger, cold and disease or were massacred by Armenians and Russians. The Turks mention their own crimes and the conditions which affected everyone...the Armenians only mention their own suffering and never what they did to the Muslims. That should be a tip-off right there.

...what they also don't mention is that of the 500,000 Armenians who were forcibly removed from the areas where the Russians were advancing, 390,000 of them arrived safely at their destination....however, the Armenians who retreated with the Russian armies, the vast majority died because the Russians, it turns, out could have given a shit, they only used the Armenians and had no intention, or means, to "help us"....sound familiar? The ones who relied on the Russian/Christians for help suffered by far the worst.

..yes, there were deliberate killings and massacres of some Armenians...but as mentioned after the war 2000 Muslims were convicted by the Turks of these crimes and one governor hanged...still, you can hardly blame the Turks for being pissed at the treachery of the Armenians...so many Muslims were massacred that the Turks can be forgiven for wanting to do the same...though no one ever brought any Armenians or Russians to trial for their crimes.

...How is it that Armenians, and Christians in general, can only focus on what others have done to them and never on what they have done to others...especially when it has been the Christians who attack first and then whine when they receive the same treatment? How indeed.

They seem constitutionally incapable of accepting responsibility for their own actions..it is always the other person's fault, never their own. We only talk about Isis killings, never about the 500,000 starved Iraqi children...never about the illegal war against Iraq...never about how many states and governments and peoples around the world we have attacked, only about THEM when they fight us off or try to.....they are always at fault, never us.

...the Turks are blamed, not the Armenians.....how is that?

..and then I come back to this weird religion of Christianity...not weird because it preaches love and peace and be nice to your parents and don't steal...all things which it shares with every religion on earth that has ever been...but weird in the one way peculiar to it, and only it..and that is, vicarious redemption, forgiving of sins/crimes by foisting off our own onto SOMEONE ELSE.

...this has made Christians incapable and unwilling to take responsibility for their own actions...why should they when they loaded their own sins and crimes onto an innocent and punished HIM...at the most basic level that is not a way to teach personal responsibility to a child, and all religions love to get their hands on children.

...from the earliest age a Christian child must be relieved to hear that he doesn't have to pay for his sins/crimes...sure, he has to mumble and recite a prayer or two...but with that he is washed clean...but the other guy NEVER CAN BE because he or she is not a Christian..does not have this special way to get-out-of-jail free...the other side is ALWAYS guilty for its crimes..."guess that's what comes from refusing Jesus"...haha.

Anyway...those incidents were the direct result of the Armenian REVOLT....not any genocide. I have seen no evidence yet from Armenian apologists of any deliberate, state-sponsored attempt to murder them all...and, here again, there is PROOF on the side of the Turks because Christians in Istanbul and other cities were not harmed...what kind of a genocide would it have been if Hitler had excused the Jews of Berlin and Munich and other cities?

...Armenian Revolt, that's what started this, not any "historical" bloodthirstiness of the Turk towards Christians...that bloodthirstiness belonged to the Christians, who behaved in ways which first coined the word "Genocide".

..and I'm not apologizing for the Turks...and I am not a Muslim-lover or self-hating anything. I just respect the truth and in this age, truth is becoming a rare thing...not worth bothering about...just pick a side you like, which supports your "team" and run with that. No thanks.
