I am quoting from a Dr. Laurence B. Brown who is currently the Medical Director and chief opthalmologist at Maghrib Eye Center in the city of Medina in Saudia Arabia. He has lived and travelled throughout the Middle East and Far East, and spend years as an opthalmogist in the U.S Air Force. He may not be good enough for Dr. Jumblat a nationalist and leader of the modern Assyrians because he is a Muslim but I will quote from his book anyways since it's not opinion. I am going to quote from page 461-462 in his book "The First and Final Commandment" about the "Arabs".

"Arabs an uneducated and ignorant, foolish if you will, disparate and divided group of desert dwellers in the pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance, they were so much 'not a nation" that Alexander the Great, the Persian empire, the Roman empire, and the Egyptians all passed them by. Why? Because there was no Arabian Nation to conquer. They were so divided and spread out, so unorganized and tribal, that there was no national identity to adress and no crown jewels to covet. Yet, following the revelation of the Quran, these people became united for the first time in history, rose up to develop the greatest intellectual institutes of their day, spread their territorial boundaries from Spain to the edge of China, establishing, in the short span of 25 years, an empire which held dominion over more kingdoms and countries than ever the Roman empire did in eight hundred."

Of course Dr. Jumblat has a differen't opinion because he believes there was an "Arab Nation" during the time of Muhammad(pbuh) and the revelation of the Quran. He believes this empire was one in which the Arabs went all over the place stealing, looting, raping, plundering and forcing Islam on people at the point of the sword. He doesent believe what historians write or say which isn't their own opinion but he already knows the truth without reading since he is an Assyrian and a highly respected leader of the modern Assyrian nation who is so important that he received two thank you letters and a handshake personally from an unknown president. As Pancho so rightfully said, there was no Arabian nation at no time before and during the life of Muhammad, but Jumblat disagrees because Qasha potros and Shamasha Shlimon said otherwise and they can't be wrong.
