...much like we wouldn't expect an Astronomer to "debate" an astrologist...or a Chemist to "debate" am alchemist...so too are we rapidly approaching the time when no rational human bean will "debate" the existence of Gods....

...before there can be a debate the object or idea in question must be shown to exist...else what's the point? How do you debate the existence of unicorns? I mean what each side say except, "I believe they can exist because no one has produced evidence that they DON'T"...and..."I believe they don't exist because no one has ever produced any evidence that they DO"?

These aren't debatable topics...they are things and ideas upon which people may have opinions....but debate? No.

We can certainly debate WHY people choose to believe in things they have no evidence for...what comfort does it give? What does it satisfy? Why? What harm comes from such beliefs?

Additionally we can debate the reasons, the evidence, for such beliefs that people have...for instance a person might believe that the existence of trees, or mountains or dogs or humans is PROOF that Gods must exist....I suppose we debate those...but not the actual existence of Gods...because clearly they don't exist.....else where are they?
