In olden times wars were fought for treasure, for land, for slaves, for markets....and of course for religion, meaning the Christian wars of religion. For all the blather about the “historic” enmity of Shia and Sunni no one has produced any evidence of any confrontations...any that I have seen except of course for the very earliest days...but since the 16th century Christians, exclusively, have been murdering each other (plus Jews, Muslims and anyone else they got their hands on) with a vengeance...during that time I have yet to read of anything even close between Muslims.

In any case, the 19th century was a time of colonial grabs...and the wars which ensued....Euros were out stealing land and fighting among each other....then we come to the 20th century. WW I was also about stealing land and resources....The Germans were eager to grab their share of Africa and islands and this brought them into a confrontation with two already practiced thieves; Britain and France. WW II turned out to also be about stealing land, by the Germans from the Russians and anywhere else it could be got. It was after this war that the UN declared that no lands could be occupied and kept, or stolen as a result of war....so, if you hungered for someone's land, you could not keep it, even if you “won” it in war....except of course for the Israelis who, with Uncle Sam's hand up their arse, do as they're told....(which can later be blamed on them, because, “you know how JEWS are”).

It would seem then that the old motives for war no longer apply. If you can't keep your enemy's land and there are no treasure chests filled with gold coins, or slaves for the taking, then what use is there in a war....where's the benefit, where's the gain? Why do it?

What did we, the people, get out of the Korean War...the Vietnam War and all those warlettes in Latin America and elsewhere? Who really benefited, because SOMEONE has to benefit, else what's the purpose?

Enter, or rather exit, Eisenhower with his warning that making and inciting and encouraging war has become a big business...possibly the biggest, at least for the United States. There has to be SOME benefit to going to war, but it's an entirely new one, one which didn't exist before Eisenhower's time. And this isn't entirely new either....just before WW I the Krupp family was making money selling weapons to all sides...the family was tried at the end of that war when it was discovered that German soldiers were being killed by the British firing Krupp bullets...some wag even figured out how much profit each dead German soldier yielded to Krupp. This same family would send agents throughout Africa inciting wars and then selling to all sides...as we did in the Iran/Iraq war.....good business....next to the Church, the best.

Of course, in a Fascist state, like ours has become, you can't SAY that....indeed you can't admit very much of your agenda because no one would vote for you...and you need that “free” vote to elect a Fascist regime....so you need a cover, you need a pretext.....anti-communism ( Hitler....ahem.)was a good one for a bit, but we couldn't keep the Soviets afloat for more than several trillions worth of weapons...we hope to have better luck keeping North Korea alive and communist and “dangerous”...which is why we've been feeding their people for decades...if we were really anti-communist we would have let them collapse, but heavens no...we need them.

People need to feel safe...the trouble is the American people really WERE safe...with oceans protecting us and a once roaring economy, life was good and secure....and that was bad for war business. If you can't steal land and there is no gold or other treasure, why would you start a war? Initially there was no need to go to war to procure black gold; petroleum. We stole it in other ways, cheaper ways...but then more profits (and replacement enemies) were needed so we created a pretext to go to war, to steal oil...but even without that plus, there were still better and even more profitable outcomes to wars....and that was stealing from our Treasury, from the people, the people now scared witless who will hand over everything to be safe...the irony is the very people actually threatening us are not communists or Muslims but our own political/corporate hucksters who see the way to riches through our fear and blind desire to be made “safe”:...which we will never be...because there is too much money in scaring us...more than in private prisons or private universities or even insurance and finance...nothing comes even close to the profit margin “private” wars bring. Blackwater is a perfect example. It is a totally useless expenditure....Blackwater does no one any good except its corporate officers and stockholders...and it's hardly free market...all their billions come from us, poor, dumb and scared us...from the taxes on our paychecks and grocery purchases and braces and car repairs and the payments we'll have to makle forevere to cover the Chinese loans that help pay Blackwater and Boeing and and and and...that's where they get their “profit”...and that's what Blackwater was set up to do...not to “make us safe”, but using that pretext, to ROB us....this is Blackwater's “business”. The only thing they need do is incite someone to threaten the US, or better yet, attack us, and they've served their own purpose....because we'll pay them anything they ask.

We have not been made safer by these politicians and warmongers. As Eisenhower warned; THEY are the problem, the danger to us...you'll notice most of them are back telling us the same things about Iran they told us about Iraq. So much for “mistakes were made” , because, apparently, those mistakes were SO profitable the same people are back pushing for the same mistakes to be made again....and when this too backfires (and they've collected their boodle) you know what they'll say...”Damn, we made mistakes AGAIN”......and wring their hands all the way to the bank.

What's funny is that I'll be called cynical......when the really cynical ones are the ones scaring us into making their profits. That's the beauty and the method of Fascism....you are a Racist, so you accuse anyone who points it out of playing the “race card”, which simply means confronting white people with their Racism! I suppose if you confront your rapist you can be accused, by your rapist, of playing the rape card. Much is made of the poor people's desire to “redistribute wealth”..it's said against them in an accusatory tone, like, “isn't that just like them, wanting to get OUR money instead of working for it”. Which is in reality of course what the rich do. THEY redistribute our piddling resources into THEIR pockets by inventing new things to charge us for or raising prices, and of course cutting our salaries...they are the ones gaining profit by distributing our money to their own bank accounts...so, naturally, they accuse US of wanting to do it...this is always the hallmark of Fascists: they accuse their opponents of exactly what they are doing....FOX news is a perfect example but there are plenty of others....listen for it, you'll know the Fascist agenda because the Left, the pathetic Left, will be accused of it.
